Made in small batches from our studio

Our studio is in The Beach (aka The Beaches), a charming Toronto neighbourhood known for its small-town vibes and beautiful beaches on the shores of Lake Ontario

We craft our sustainable products using clean, quality ingredients and thoughtful packaging. Our products are made in small batches with care, are cruelty-free, vegan, and made without the use of parabens, phthalates or dyes

Using our small business to benefit the planet + people

Business as a force for good

We balance purpose and profit to ensure we are doing our part to benefit our planet, people and communities.

Donate $1 for every candle sold

We donate $1 for every candle sold to charities and grassroots organizations helping support environmental and social change.

1% for the Planet

Since its founding, Brightfield has pledged 1% of sales to the preservation and restoration of our earth. We donate to vetted grassroots environmental groups making a difference in their local communities to affect real change.

1% for the Planet is an alliance of businesses and non-profits, who like us, understand the necessity of protecting the natural environment. As a proud 1% for the Planet member, we are committed to giving much more than 1% of our sales because we believe it's the right thing to do as a small business.

We love our customers & they love us

Love

"Love your candles and the mission behind it!" - S.

The Best Candles

"You're so good at making candles. The scent was amazing, it burned beautifully and lasted so long." - M.

My favourite scents

"I love your reed diffusers, I had to buy more!" - E.

Kindness

Be kind to people and our planet, do what's right, learn from others and everything that we do and work to contribute to the greater good outside of ourselves.

Quality

Make the best products, provide the best service and continually improve everything we do.

We believe products should be sustainable, functional, beautiful, useful, long-lasting, and reusable or recyclable.

Build for the long-term

Intentionally build a sustainable business, both in the ingredients that we use, products that we make and leading our business in a way that balances purpose and profit for our collective long-term.

Our studio operates on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), and Ojibway/Chippewa. Our community is still home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work on this land
